The scent of warm cinnamon & spice filling the home does wonders to boost the Christmas spirit. I really like making the dough, creaming the butter and sugar till they are just the correct quantity of soft and fluffy. I love the shaping, whether or not by rolling, pressing, patting into a pan, or merely dropping from a spoon. And then there’s the aroma. There may be nothing just like the perfume of cookies baking in the oven or scent of sugar and butter melting collectively to kind a candy piece of fudge.
